Professional Experience:
L. Richard Walsh brings over 25 years experience in operations management with cross-functional experience in industrial cleaning operations, environmental health and safety, fleet management, sewer cleaning and inspection, project management, and waste transportation. He is responsible for all operational, training, safety, and administrative aspects of Terra Contracting, as well as the long-term growth and viability of the company.
Walsh was previously with a Detroit-based, multi-state industrial services company with annual revenues in excess of $110 million. While there, Walsh served in various senior management capacities. He was most recently the senior vice president, operations. His responsibilities included the integration of all operations, health and safety, and fleet management aspects for all platform companies to include program development, implementation, training, and oversight of 44 locations in 12 states. He also served as vice president, fleet management where he was responsible for the integration of assets from platform companies, equipment specification development, inventory control, purchasing, maintenance program development and implementation, and utilization tracking and standardization with an annual budget for purchases and repairs in excess of $8 million.
Prior to that, Walsh was vice president, industrial services where he was responsible for all operational, training, safety, and administrative aspects while guiding the division to annual sales in excess of $30 million. He was director of operations where he was responsible for the daily scheduling of crews, supervisors and managers in operations. This equated to overseeing up to 60 projects in seven states with over 1,500 employees during peak periods. Walsh was also director of special operations where he was responsible for the development and implementation of a new division comprised of two new business ventures. This vastly enhanced and increased operational capabilities while eliminating outsourced costs and also added over $3 million per year in incremental gross revenues with significant return on investment.
Walsh is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
